Lollipop- Fashion show

I like suckers, chocolate and all of the sugary goodness you find in a candy store. So when I heard "Lollipop" I thought somewhere there were dumdums being handed out (who doesn't like free candy?). I did not think it would involve a fun, colorful and entertaining fashion show! Fashion House of F.A.B had the pleasure of recording the show.
Michigan designer, Perry Wayne showcased his Spring/Summer 2017 collection on Saturday, April 29 in Grosse Point, Michigan. VIP received runway seating and special treats. Don't worry, general admission was able to eat as well! Pizza, popcorn and beverages were available for purchase. Not to mention, everyone got a free sucker! As I told you before, who doesn't like free candy!? On site media included the Detroit Free Press, Metro times, SlyFox photography and Jason Bush. We ran into designer, Cheryl Zemke as well. Always good to see fashion family supporting one another. <3
The festivities were hosted by Commillion. She gave a warm welcome to everyone and their attendance. She started off introducing the opening performer, Jharid and his band. Jharid gave us a soulful variety of songs from "Crazy" to "Sail", a tribute to Prince and ended off with an original song called "leaving". Great job Jharid (instagram @jharid) ! In addition there was a live hip hop dance as well.
Here's where our expertise comes in: the fashion show! Opening designer was someone near and dear to our heart, Jaiden Shephard "Vintage Ties by Jaiden". Jaiden(instagram @theonlyjaiden) introduced chokers and bow ties with an array of bright iridescent colors. To add a touch of flare, models were dressed in sporty gear and at the end of his showcase models were lined up in bold poses on stage. Very powerful statement indeed.
This paragraph is the reason for this whole article. The part of the show that brought everyone and everything together under one roof. The "Lollipop" collection by Perry Wayne. The barbie, sweet and candy inspired pieces were vibrant and vivacious. We couldn't help but notice some familiar faces on the runway; Jenna Ode and Claire Greidanus. Their walks were nothing short of fierce. Perry's line will definitely have you Spring/Summer ready! Dresses for women, shorts for men, and even swim wear. Whether you were looking for casual, formal or evening wear, you definitely found what you were looking for on the runway in this collection. Perry took his audience to Barbie beach house in California. "California" by Katy Perry playing in the background, beach props coming down the runway and the garments made the experience memorable. Hands down this was a breath of fresh air for the Michigan fashion community. Influenced by Moschino and Coco Chanel this talented designer, is going places. There is already word of a Fall show. So be sure to keep an eye out for Perry Wayne (instagram: @perry_waynee). Thanks for reading.
